The new Enzo Ferrari - the Ferrari F70 - will get 920bhp
It’s reported that the replacement for the Enzo Ferrari – the Ferrari F70 – will get a V12 with KERS delivering 920bhp. Georg Kacher is a man many of us grew up reading in CAR Magazine, a man who made the monthly cost of the mag a bargain all on his own (well, with LJK). So when Georg Kacher tells us that the new Ferrari F70 will have a V12 with 800bhp and a KERS package with an electric motor adding a further 120bhp, we believe him.
The Lexus IS SportCross - the 1st generation Lexus IS Estate
The Lexus IS Range is Toyota’s answer to BMW’s 3 Series and Audi’s A4. And it does a very creditable job, particularly for those drivers for whom quality of finish and lots of toys are much further up the list than driving dynamics. But despite there originally being a Lexus IS Estate – the Lexus IS SportCross – when the IS first launched in 2000, Lexus saw fit to drop that when the current IS turned up in 2005.
Italian company Miko specializes in the development and production of Dinamica, a high quality ecological microfiber that can be used for anything from car door panels or upholstery to fashion accessories. The faux suede material is produced from a combination of recycled polyester and polyurethane fibers, and is also 100 percent recyclable at the end of its lifecycle. Lorenzo Terraneo, CEO of Miko, says: "Our priority has always been to invest in the research and development of recycled and eco-compatible materials with special characteristics that go far beyond existing qualitative standards."
It is a testament to Terraneo's commitment that his company achieved its early aspirations and eco credentials long before concern for the environment and the reduction of carbon emissions was high on the political agenda or prevalent in the public conscience.
